COVID-19 Outbreak

A Prayer for hand-washing:

Hi everyone - it's with regret that I write to tell you that we've been advised to suspend Sunday Services from now on until the crisis is over, beginning this Sunday. Several other mainline churches, including the Episcopal Church have done the same today. It's the right thing to do to protect folk in the crisis, unfortunately.

We hope to provide some worship in-house that we can watch together on social media at the usual time on Sunday morning, and links to other churches that may be streaming services.

The building might be closed, but the church is open as we go about our core work - worship, care, relationships and compassion.

The situation is also going to impact funerals and weddings too. We already know that gatherings with many people are not helping the situation and increasing risk. Please take this into consideration when you are beginning to make plans.

It may well be that we have to insist on family-only funerals for now, with the possibility of a larger service of thanksgiving at a later date when the danger has passed. I ask for your understanding and patience as we try to navigate these choppy waters both respectfully and safely.

Kind regards

Paul
